Students in our studio have a year-long lesson commitment. The school year of lessons are divided into three sessions. Each student has a private lesson once a week and group class twice a month. Lessons are taught in Kirkwood (Atlanta) on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Lessons are also given to Waldorf Students at the Waldorf School on Thursdays.
LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS
Level I Suzuki Students – Recommended for young elementary school aged beginning cello students. Covers the basic Suzuki Repertoire. 30-minutes long and includes group classes.
Level II Suzuki Students – Lessons are 45-minutes long, and includes work in sight-reading, music theory, playing technique and musicianship. This is recommended for older beginners and Book 2 level students.
Level III Suzuki Students – Lessons are 60-minutes long, and includes work in sight-reading, music theory, musicianship, playing technique, and preparations for auditions. This is recommended for Intermediate level to Advanced level students in mid-Book 3 or higher.
Pre-Twinkle Suzuki Student- This is for the beginning cellist between the ages of 3-5 years old. Although the allocated time is 30 minutes, lessons usually last between 10-15 minutes. It also involves lots of parental training and participation.
Traditional Lessons- This is for students who cannot participate in group classes. Lessons are only offered in Level II & III.
